💡 Key Takeaways

  • First capture, then refine.
  • Discipline builds momentum.
  • Being human is being expressive. We’ve all got a story to share.
  • Writing, drawing, performing, speaking into a voice recorder are all version of “creating” or “expressing”.

“I learned about Dave Ramsey through his book, Total Money Makeover. That was my introduction into how someone could manage their money.

Then finding Gary Vaynerchuk, honestly. I mean, I know that may be cliche to say, but I think hearing someone like that kind of break through- his demeanor and how he talked- it was just very new for me.

I mean, from North Alabama, southern, very rural part of the world, very conservative. So that was just a voice that I’d never really heard before.

And hearing him talk about content, and then I guess with just the belief that I felt like I had something to say, kind of all just culminated into this momentum of trying to do what I’m doing now.”

– Chris

This, what we’re doing right here has been like one of the most like paradigm shifting ways that I’ve thought about creating content because just do a live show and talk for an hour.

And then when you hang up, just don’t do anything else with that.

That’s it.

All you focus on is getting your next guest or getting your guest and that’s it. And then you show up the next week and just do the same thing and just talk. And that’s it. You can do that for six months and build an incredible amount of like connections. And how many hours of content do you have now?

I’m posting a video every single day from this. And then the next episode comes out and I’ve got seven more.
